Police used drive and resorted to lathi-charge to disperse the villagers who stormed into an space of Luhariya in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara district on July 31 following studies that some boys staying there had blended urine within the water bottle of a faculty woman. The villagers allegedly hurled stones on the homes within the locality.

The villagers have been agitated over the dearth of motion towards the boys by the principal of the federal government senior secondary college, to whom the 13-year-old woman had complained three days in the past. When the police visited the college to talk to the principal on July 31, the villagers created a ruckus and locked the college’s gate.

The woman, learning in Class 8 within the college, stated in her grievance that she had detected a “urine-like odour” coming from her water bottle and located a slip with “I love you” written on it in her bag. She accused three boys from the college of harassing her.

The villagers began elevating slogans, gathered on the village sq. with sticks and stones and stormed into the locality the place the boys reside. Police stated when the gang pelted stones, some stones have been additionally thrown from the opposite aspect.

A case towards the accused boys was registered at Mandal police station beneath Sections 354 (outraging modesty of a lady) and 270 (malignant act prone to unfold an infection of illness harmful to life) of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

The markets in Luhariya village remained closed amid a tense ambiance on Monday. An additional police drive was deployed within the village and 9 individuals have been detained on expenses of breach of peace.
