Rupert Murdoch, the 92-year-old media magnate who created Fox News, is stepping down as chief of each Fox’s dad or mum firm and his News Corp. media holdings.
Fox mentioned in an announcement on Thursday that Mr. Murdoch would change into chairman emeritus of each firms. His son, Lachlan, will change into News Corp. chairman and proceed as chief govt officer of Fox Corp.
Lachlan Murdoch mentioned that “we are grateful that he will serve as chairman emeritus and know he will continue to provide valued counsel to both companies.”
