Pakistan hostage disaster: Nearly three days after the Talibani militants seized the Counter-Terrorism Depart­­ment (CTD) constructing in Pakistan’s Bannu, it has been freed on Tuesday following a army operation. “Our forces surrounded the entire area and thwarted any attempt by the terrorists to escape. In the last 48 hours, there were all-out attempts for an unconditional surrender from the terrorists who were de­­manding safe passage to go to Afghanistan,” Dawn quoted the final as saying. 

According to the highest army official, not less than 25 militants have been eradicated and three safety personnel have been killed through the incident.

TTP claims police officers have inhuman attitudes
