External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar known as Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday and conveyed private greetings and heat regards from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Jaishankar, who landed in Dhaka on Thursday, will attend the ‘6th Indian Ocean Conference 2023’ which can deliberate on the prospects of regional cooperation.

The India Foundation, in association with Bangladesh’s foreign ministry, has organised the sixth edition of the conference with its theme, “Peace, Prosperity and Partnership for a Resilient Future”.
Bangladesh’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam acquired the Indian international minister upon his arrival, a Bangladesh international workplace spokesman stated.
The assembly, a two-day assembly from May 12, goals to deliberate upon the prospects of regional cooperation, an announcement by the India Foundation stated.
The Bangladesh Prime Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the convention and Jaishankar is about to ship the keynote handle on the opening ceremony.
Bangladesh has not issued an official assertion detailing Jaishankar’s engagements throughout his go to right here.
According to officers, the convention would carry collectively a luminary gathering of key stakeholders to chart the roadmap for strengthening the Indian Ocean Region.
It can be attended by the President of Mauritius Prithvirajsing Roopun, Maldivian Vice President Faisal Naseem, and several other ministers from internationally, based on the Ministry of External Affairs.
The Indian Ocean Conference (IOC) was began in 2016 and within the final six years, has emerged because the “Flagship Consultative Forum” for countries in the region over regional affairs.
