Iran’s deputy coaching minister Younes Panahi on Sunday claimed that “some people” have been poisoning schoolgirls inside the holy metropolis of Qom with the aim of shutting down coaching for girls. “It was found that some people wanted all schools, especially girls’ schools, to be closed,” Panahi instructed a neighborhood news channel.

Reportedly, since late November, a complete bunch of situations of respiratory poisoning have been reported amongst schoolgirls primarily in Qom, south of Tehran, prompting mom and father to hunt a proof from the authorities.

On February 14, mom and father of students who had been sick had gathered exterior the city’s governorate to “demand an explanation” from the authorities, IRNA reported. The subsequent day authorities spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi acknowledged the intelligence and coaching ministries have been in search of the explanation for the poisonings, AFP reported.

However, earlier, coaching minister Youssef Nouri had termed the tales regarding the poisoning of schoolgirls “rumours”, claiming that the students taken to the hospital had “underlying diseases”.

The poisonings come days after Iran and China urged mutual neighbour Afghanistan to complete restrictions on ladies’s work and coaching. The two sides known as on the Afghan rulers to form an inclusive authorities whereby all ethnic groups and political groups really participate, and cancel all discriminatory measures in direction of ladies, ethnic minorities, and completely different religions.
