An Indian-origin former Singaporean jail officer has been sentenced to over three years in jail for searching for bribes, amounting to SG$133,000 for transferring an inmate out of his jail cluster.
Kobi Krishna Ayavoo, 57, a retired senior chief warder, was discovered responsible of eight expenses beneath the Prevention of Corruption Act, as reported by The Straits Times newspaper.
