A Canadian of Indian-origin, Jagdish Pandher, from Brampton has been apprehended and charged in reference to a string of break-and-enter incidents concentrating on temples and business institutions throughout Peel Region.

Between March and August 2023, authorities acquired experiences of a number of break-ins spanning Brampton, Mississauga, and Caledon.

Surveillance footage obtained from three locations of worship revealed the suspect, 41-year-old Pandher, forcibly coming into temples and making off with money from donation packing containers.

Additionally, Pandher was captured on digital camera committing comparable acts of theft at different business areas inside the area.

Following a radical and coordinated investigation involving regulation enforcement companies all through the Greater Toronto Area, Pandher emerged as the first suspect.

Already in custody for associated offenses, Pandher now faces extra prices, together with 5 counts of breaking into temples and companies and stealing cash.

“Investigators are confident that these were crimes of opportunity to steal cash and not motivated by hate”, said Peel Police in a press launch.
