Samsung Electronics Co Ltd reported a 95% plunge in first-quarter revenue on Thursday because it grapples with a pointy world downturn in semiconductor demand that has despatched costs plummeting.

The world’s high maker of reminiscence chips and smartphones as of 2022 mentioned working revenue fell to 640 billion received ($478.6 million) for the January-March quarter, from 14.12 trillion received a 12 months earlier.

That was consistent with the corporate’s personal estimate of 600 billion received earlier this month.

Revenue fell 18% to 63.7 trillion received.
