Marc Reyna and Marc Miralles struck a brace every as Spain outplayed Wales 5-1 in a Pool D match to register their first win within the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup right here on Sunday.

Reyna sounded the board within the sixteenth and thirty eighth minutes from subject efforts, whereas Miralles scored within the thirty second and 56th minutes. Skipper Alvaro Iglesias (twenty second) was the opposite objective getter for the winners.

Wales’ lone objective was scored by James Carson within the 52nd minute.

While Spain recorded their first win within the event, it was Wales’ second loss on the trot.

Spain had earlier misplaced 0-2 to hosts India of their event opener, whereas Wales had been defeated 0-5 by England.

Spain will tackle England of their closing pool match on January 19 in Bhubaneswar, whereas Wales will face India.
