Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik interacted with the National Men’s Hockey staff who’re accommodated on the World Cup Village in Rourkela and introduced the money award. He wished them the easiest and hoped they’ll emerge champions

To encourage the Indian Men’s Hockey staff forward of FIH World Cup 2023, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday introduced an award of Rs 1 crore for every participant if the nationwide aspect lifts the celebrated trophy.

Patnaik made this announcement whereas inaugurating the World Cup Village on the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium Complex in Rourkela.

The World Cup Village has been developed inside a file 9 months and flaunts 225 rooms with all facilities befitting the stature of the Hockey World Cup. The World Cup Village will home the groups and officers of the upcoming Hockey World Cup.

On this event, the Chief Minister interacted with the National Men’s Hockey staff who’re accommodated on the World Cup Village and introduced the money award. He wished them the easiest and hoped they’ll emerge champions.

Players praised the Odisha authorities and thanked Patnaik for growing a holistic ecosystem for Hockey for the gamers of the nation.

The World Cup Village together with the Hockey Practice Centre and the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium will provide a holistic surroundings for the National and International gamers for the marque match.
