A teenage woman was left with a scar following the horrible incident after being hit by a full plastic pint pot weighted with cash thrown from the Liverpool part on the Etihad
Police stated Friday that they had launched an investigation after a 15-year-old feminine Manchester City fan suffered head accidents throughout Thursday’s League Cup tie in opposition to Liverpool on the Etihad Stadium.
Daniel Cornwell informed the Daily Telegraph his teenage daughter had been left with “a scar for all times” following the “horrible” incident after being hit by a full plastic pint pot “weighted with cash” thrown from the Liverpool section at the Etihad.

A Greater Manchester Police (GMP) spokesman said: “A 15-year-old girl was treated for head injuries and we will be investigating.”
The incident adopted ugly scenes which have marred current encounters between the English soccer heavyweights.
Their October match at Anfield noticed City followers accused of creating abusive chants in regards to the 1989 Hillsborough catastrophe that led to the deaths of 97 Liverpool followers.
City claimed supervisor Pep Guardiola had cash thrown at him and that their group bus was attacked because it left Anfield.
Guardiola’s males received 3-2 on Thursday to knock holders Liverpool out of the League Cup, with targets from Erling Haaland, Riyad Mahrez and Nathan Ake establishing a quarter-final with Southampton.
There had been a number of different incidents of dysfunction on Thursday, with GMP match commander, Superintendent Gareth Parkin, saying: “We are conscious of numerous objects, together with cash and a smoke bomb, that had been thrown in the course of the match.
“We might be investigating the incidents and reviewing CCTV from the night time.
“Clearly throwing objects in a confined space may be harmful, and have severe and typically devastating penalties.”
In a joint statement, City and Liverpool condemned the “wholly unacceptable” incidents.
“Manchester City, Liverpool and the chairs from our supporter teams have labored collectively in current weeks to remind followers of our expectations and each golf equipment wish to thank the overwhelming majority of followers for his or her behaviour eventually night time’s match on the Etihad Stadium,” the statement said.
“It is however hugely disappointing that there were a number of incidents that are wholly unacceptable. These incidents will be fully investigated, reported to the police and the individuals who are found to be responsible will be subject to the sanction process of their respective clubs.”
