A scuffle broke out late Friday, July 9, 2024 night time between RSS-affiliated ABVP and Left-backed teams on the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus throughout a gathering on holding college students’ union polls, with each side claiming a few of their members had been injured.

The Students’ Federation of India claimed that JNUSU president Aishe Ghosh was attacked by ABVP college students and water was thrown at her in the course of the ruckus.

When the Left-led events (AISA, SFI, DSF and plenty of extra) noticed that the UGBM will happen anyhow, they tried to disturb the GBM. However, the ABVP failed all their techniques. At final, they began beating ABVP activists,” it added.
