A famer from Kerala, Biju Kurian, who was reported lacking from an official delegation to Israel 10 days in the past, has been traced and he will probably be returning to the nation on Monday, state agriculture minister P Prasad stated on Sunday.

The minister stated Kurian’s brother advised him that he’ll attain Kozhikode airport by a Gulf Air flight on Monday.
“He reportedly told his brother that he extended his tour to visit some of the holy places in the country. We will hear him in detail before taking any action,” he stated.
Earlier final week, the minister had stated that the incident had invited sufficient embarrassment to the state authorities.
The authorities approached the External Affairs Ministry and the Indian embassy in Israel to cancel his visa and passport. Officials conversant in the matter stated the federal government’s motion might need foiled his plan to illegally settle within the nation and compelled him to return.
Kurian went to Israel with a 27-member delegation headed by Agriculture secretary B Ashok on February 13 and he went lacking from a lodge in Israel’s Herzliya metropolis on February 17. Later, he telephoned his spouse saying he was protected and to not seek for him.
Last week, in one other case, six members– 5 ladies and a few of them above 60 years of age– of a pilgrimage group from the state to the holy land slipped out after reaching Israel, prompting the group’s head Father George Joshua to file a grievance to state police chief Anil Kant. An investigation is on within the matter.
