Gangster Kala Dhanaula shot dead in police encounter in Punjab’s Barnala

Barnala​: In a significant breakthrough, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of Punjab Police on Sunday shot lifeless needed gangster Gurmeet Singh alias Kala Dhanaula throughout an encounter in Barnala, mentioned officers. Since the encounter of Dhanaula, police have been deployed at each nook and nook.

Giving particulars in regards to the incident on X, Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav mentioned the class ‘A’ gangster was neutralised at a farm home in Barnala’s Badbar.

The DGP additional mentioned the accused was a history-sheeter with over 60 heinous prison instances registered in opposition to him.

Two policemen injured

The police mentioned that an alternate of gunfire occurred between the Punjab Police’s Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) crew and the gangster. Shots have been fired from the gangster’s facet throughout this alternate. In response, the police crew retaliated with gunfire in self-defence. It was throughout this alternate that the gangster, Gurmeet Singh, sustained gunshot wounds and died. Additionally, within the encounter, an Inspector and a Sub-Inspector of the police crew have been injured. Both injured police personnel are at present receiving medical remedy.
