The Enforcement Directorate on Monday arrested the alleged mastermind of the 2022 JKSSB sub-inspector recruitment examination paper leak case as a part of a money-laundering investigation, official sources mentioned.
Yatin Yadav, a suspected tout, was arrested in Jammu underneath legal sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), the sources mentioned.
The Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) sub-inspector recruitment examination was held on March 27, 2022.

The arrest comes at a time allegations of irregularities within the conduct of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) and the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) have rocked the nation, resulting in the Centre handing over their investigation to the CBI.
The ED sources claimed that being the “kingpin” of the alleged paper leak gang, Yadav executed a well-crafted plan involving different accused touts primarily based in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir to rearrange candidates prepared to entry the leaked paper in opposition to funds starting from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 30 lakh.
Post examination, the funds collected from the aspirants — primarily in money — had been routed to Yadav’s financial institution accounts, they mentioned.
The ED had earlier hooked up Yadav’s financial institution accounts, an organization referred to as New Global Fumigation Corporation and property of some others value Rs 1 crore as a part of its probe.
