The Budget session of West Bengal Assembly is scheduled to start from February 5, with the Budget prone to be tabled on February 8, in line with state Parliamentary Affairs Minister Sovandeb Chatterjee. The session will proceed until February 17, he added.

It could also be recalled that earlier than the final Lok Sabha polls in 2019, an interim Budget was introduced by the state authorities, with a full Budget tabled after the final elections concluded.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is anticipated to attend the inaugural session on February 5, in line with a senior TMC chief.
