Briefing the media in regards to the steps being taken by the federal government for the welfare of tribals, the minister mentioned that monetary allocations below centrally sponsored schemes have been elevated considerably.
It was elevated to ₹91,000 crore in 2022-23 from ₹19,437 crore in 2014-15, Mr. Pradhan mentioned, including funds are being pumped to open Eklavya Vidyalaya within the nation to strengthen training ecosystem for them.
Mr. Pradhan added that about 10 lakh tribal beneficiaries are linked with Van Dhan Vikas Kendras by way of 55,000 self-help teams.
